Deb's Beauty Shop Submitted by Debbie Kinsella, 2006 Debbie Kinsella started Deb's Beauty Shop October 1, 1985 at 307 South East Street, across the street from Towanda Grade School. Debbie has been a licensed hairstylist since 1976. Prior to opening the shop, Debbie operated a babysitting service in town for seven years. Wanting to be a stay at home mom, she turned one of their bedrooms into a beauty shop, while continuing to watch 13 children mostly before and after school and doing hair while the children were in school. As of 2005, the shop had been open for 20 years. Debbie and her husband, Donald (Shannon) raised three children J. R., Nathan, and Travis. .
