Martin and Julia Killian Kelly (Kelley) Family History Martin (Blondy) Kelley, son of Patrick and Mary Flynn Kelly, and grandson of Hugh Kelly, was born at Merna, July 27,1888. Martin attended Brown's Business College. He married September 10, 1930, Julia Killian, daughter of William and Mary McCarthy Killian, born near Merna, March 22,1898 at St. Patrick's Church, Merna.. (see Killian Family History) Martin and Julia farmed west of Merna. Martin died September 25, 1964 and Julia died October 9, 1971. Blondy and Julia are buried in St. Mary's Cemetery, Bloomington. *Rosemary, daughter of Martin and Julia, was born April 25, 1932. Rosie attended Merna Grade School and graduated Trinity High School and attended Rosary College. She married Mike Sullivan in 1952 in St. Patrick's Church, Merna. Mike graduated St. Paul's in Odell and telegrapher school in Missouri and worked for the railroad. Mike died May 31, 2005 and is buried in Holy Cross Cemetery, Normal. Rosemary lives in Bloomington. Their children are as follows oldest to youngest. Michael Stephen was born May 27, 1953. Mike graduated Central Catholic High School and ISU. He married Ann Rust 3-9-91 in St. Patrick's Church of Merna. Both work at State Farm. Mary Beth was born December 28, 1954. Beth graduated Central Catholic High School and works for Epiphany School. Beth lives at home. David Martin was born July 14, 1958. David graduated Central Catholic High School and ISU and works for State Farm. David lives in Chicago. Mark Joseph was born August 27, 1959. Mark graduated Bloomington High School. Mark was the first handicapped student to be admitted to Bloomington High. He rode his motorized wheelchair across the stage to a cheering crowd at graduation. He graduated ISU and worked for an insurance company. Mark died as a result of complications of muscular dystrophy 10-14-83 and is buried in Holy Cross Cemetery, Normal. Kelley Ann was born September 29, 1969. Kelley graduated Central Catholic High School and Eastern U. She works in Wisconsin for State Farm.
