Know all men by these present that I Wm. Hayes of the County
of Randolph & State of Illinois am held & firmly bound unto
Samuel W. Dobbins of the same State & County in the sum of
five hundred dollars good & lawful money of the U. States
for the will & truly payment of which I find myself my heirs
administrators & (assizes?) if default be made in the
The condition of the above obligation is such that if
the above named Wm. Hayes does in the term of 3 months from
this date make or cause to be made to the above named Samuel
W. Dobbins a good & sufficient warrantee deed to a certain
lot of land viz the N. West of N.W. of Sec. 15 and the N.E.
of N.E. of Sec. 16 in Town IV South 4(?) Range V (5?) West.
When the above obligation to be void & of none effect,
otherwise to remain in full force & virtue.
