Admission ticket to the Grand Dance sponsored by the Oakton Sunshine Club at Alf's Hall in Niles Center , Illinois , on Saturday , February 6 , 1926 . Shown here are both sides of the ticket , side by side . The front of the card (left) shows the name of performing group , the Morton Grove Syncopaters , and an admission price of fifty cents . The back of the card (right) shows the song lyrics to "Cecilia " and "Normandy " along with an advertisement for the Niles Center Tavern ; Chas . Landerer , Prop . Albert Alf was the proprietor of Alf's Hall . This ticket is part of the collection of the Skokie Historical Society . The village of Niles Center was renamed Skokie in November , 1940 .
