Molded porcelain, basically square, with the sides curving out and up from the base. The edges are slightly scalloped, with gold trim painted around the edge and just inside the rim. The glaze is off-white. On one side, a transfer print of FDR, with his name below. On the other, a transfer of the flags of the U.S. and Great Britain, crossed, with a design of flowers, vines and leaves. Silkscreen in blue on bottom: ROYAL WINTON / GRIMWADES / MADE IN / ENGLAND. Stamped in black over silkscreen: GRIMWADES / MADE IN / ENGLAND / A.
