Cardinal Bonzano and Mayor Dever
Title |
Cardinal Bonzano and Mayor Dever |
Description |
This is a black and white photograph taken in June 1926 for the Eucharistic Congress. In this close-up photo John Cardinal Bonzano and the mayor of Chicago, William Dever, stand on the back platform of the Cardinal Train. Bonzano, on the left, is dressed in his regal cardinal dress and holds his galero in hand. Mayor Dever, to the right, is dressed in a suit and also holds a top hat in hand. There are three men standing around the two of them, one is a priest. There is an aura of calm about the picture, especially given Bonzano’s half smiling expression. |
