Linda Z. (Parry) Shaw has been selected as the October Student of the Month at Graham Hospital Association School of Nursing. Linda is a junior student, president of her class, a member of the Graham Student Senate and the Spoon River College Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. She was chosen because of her inspiration for her classmates who admire her optimism, loyalty and consideration of other students. Linda is pleased with the basic nursing education she is receiving at Graham and hopes to work as a staff nurse in Havana after graduation. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Walters of Astoria and she resides there with her ten year old daughter, Neisha.
