Obituaries: Linda Ashwood: WEE-MA-TUK—Linda L. Ashwood, 64, of Wee-Ma-Tuk, died at 11:36 a.m. on Monday (October 17, 2011) at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria. She was born on July 21, 1947, in Galesburg to Delmas and Mildred (Hegwood) Foreman. She married Thomas Ashwood on June 24, 1972, in Canton. He survives. Other survivors include her daughter, Michelle L. Ashwood of Springfield; one brother, Jerry Foreman of Canton; two sisters, Barbara Rosencrans of St. David and Priscilla (Larry) Anderson of Norris; two grandchildren, Victoria T. Ashwood of Wee-Ma-Tuk and James E. Sadler of Springfield; and one great-grandchild, Gabi T. Ashwood of Wee-Ma-Tuk. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, June Downard, formerly of Elmwood. Linda had worked in the healthcare field for many years. At her request, cremation rites have been accorded, and there will be no services. Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton is assisting the family with arrangements.
