Connie A. Gowda: Connie A. Gowda of Canton was inducted to the National Honor Society of Sigma Theta Tau in a special ceremony held at Lewis University on April 21. Students with a grade point average of 4.0 out of a possible 4.0 are invited to join the society. The society recognizes superior achievement, development of leadership, high professional standards, creative work and strengthening the commitment to the ideals and purpose of the nursing profession. Connie Gowda is doing her masters in nursing at Lewis University and graduated May 19. She presently is the Critical Care and medical-surgical instructor at Graham School of Nursing. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Ulanowki of Oglesby. She is married to Dr. R.U. Gowda of Canton and they have one son, Anand.
