Graham Hospital School of Nursing to hold open house for prospective students: Graham Hospital School of Nursing will host an open house for prospective students and their families from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 14. Anyone with an interest in a nursing career is invited to attend. The school is located on the third floor of Graham Hospital. Faculty and staff will be available to answer questions regarding admission requirements, financial aid, curriculum, and career goals. Current students will also be on hand to provide tours of the school and demonstrate procedures in the skills lab. The hospital nursing school has provided education for future nurses in the community since 1909 and is accredited by the National League of Nursing. The school offers a three-year registered nurse (RN) diploma program with advanced placement for students who have completed a licensed practical nurse (LMN) program. During a typical week, students receive both classroom and a variety of clinical nursing experiences which all students to apply knowledge gained in the classroom. Applications are currently being accepted for the 2010-11 academic year. Deadline for submission of all required application materials is Feb. 15, 2010.
