Graduation exercises for the Graham hospital Nurses training school will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday at the First Methodist church. The group chose blue and white as their class colors; the American Beauty Rose for the class flower; and “Not For Ourselves, But For Others,” as their motto. The class includes Ruth Betson, Grimm, Elizabeth Berry, Naomi Beadles, Reta Mae Collins, Freda Degulie, Zelda Fawcett, Edna Groves, Milbra Turl Hart, Mary Reed Hipple, Ruth Quick, Dorothy Styninger and Violet Hill Wages. The program will be presented as follows: Prelude, �����Minster Bells”; the processional, “Festal Procession,��� played by Miss Agnes Christopher; “Rose of Picardy” and “Ah, Sweet Mystery of Life,” by a trio, Lavore and Marllene Harland and Harriet Windsor, accompanied by Miss Louise Lacey; Introduction of the speaker, Dr. E. P. Coleman, president of Illinois Medical Society; Address, “Medical Progress in War Time,” by Dr. Harold N. Camp, secretary of Illinois State Medical Society, of Monmouth. Solos, “Homing,” and “The Blind Ploughman,” by John Bennett, accompanied by Miss Charlotte Bennett; the Nightingale Pledge by the graduating class; Presentation of the class, by Edyth Lyle Allen, R. N., Superintendent of Nurses; conferring of diplomas by the President of the Board, F. A. Nelson; and the recessional, “March of Victory,” played by Miss Christopher.
