cce PUBLICITOR'S COMMrnIT~T:
~fuen we attended the Black History Month' observance at Springfield Baptist Chur-ch , .• , where, by request, we gave the response to the welcooe, we were totally unprepared for the standing ovation and applause of the audience, promoted by Hecky Powell, a 9th 1'1urd candidate for Alderman and Evanston Neighbors At Work Director, who coobined our effort with the histori Gal record of former Alc1. Edwin B. Jourdain, whose. wife, Emmaline, received the same accolade for her husband.
Whatever services 'We have renc'.ered,ho'Wever ncandngf'u.l , they still arc too feeble and oust be improved upon immeasurably by today's nore energetic youth in the promotion of our black progress. Thanks.

CCC PUBLICITOR'S COMMENT:
As a resident of Ebenezer Pri=Towers Senior Citizens Hone. Just plan for the 1983-84 subscription. We only wish that today's black youth could capture the spirit and ccncerli~ .' of their elders
who demonstrate your sincerity and deep integrity in meeting every day obligation. It's a lesson that should last a lifetime, for it demonstrates an independence which, once the funds are' at hand, they meet key expenses first, then consider other lesser obligations. You are most kind to pick up on our raised prices, which we hate so badly to pass on to our subscrieers. but ore helpless to avoid the higher cost. Thanks much.
