BARTLETT
Site Description: A 1.5 square mile industrial corridor with an estimated 15 brownfields sites.
Proposed Use of Grant Funds: Perform Phase One environmental site assessments at properties within the industrial corridor to identify past use and to estimate likelihood of contamination. Perform Phase two environmental assessments (soil and groundwater sampling) at the properties with the highest potential for contamination. The City of Alton will then use the sampling results to prioritize sites in need of cleanup and to facilitate entry of these sites into the Site Remediation Program by the property owners.
