A new service is available to help
you successfully diagnose and
repair failed vehicles. Operated by
ASPIRE, Inc. of Pennsylvania, a
nationwide provider with more than
16 years of experience, this hotline
service offers technical assistance
in all areas of automotive repair.
Service is available 7 AM to 4 PM
(Central time), Monday through
Friday.
ASPIRE provides accurate
information in the shortest time
frame, enabling proper repair
procedures by the technician. The
company has one of the most
complete automotive libraries
assembled.
Support personnel speak with
each caller, answer any straightfor-ward
questions, provide basic
information and categorize the
nature of the inquiry. The screening
process quickly identifies the
Stumped? Help is only a phone call away!
The Repair Technician’s Hotline
technician’s needs; calls are then
transferred to appropriate Hotline
staff. If a Hotline technician is not
available, the support staff member
obtains a telephone number and a
technician returns the call as soon
as possible. This strategy allows
Hotline support personnel to answer
requests for specifications, bulletin
searches, or wiring diagram infor-mation
and allows senior technical
advisors to handle the more ad-vanced
diagnostic and advisory
issues.
Although the phone system has
an automated answering and
queuing system, ASPIRE only uses
this feature when all staff lines are
busy. ASPIRE believes that a repair
technician should be able to speak
directly with a Hotline technician
whenever possible.
Paying for the Service
To use this service, establish a debit
account with ASPIRE using credit
card, check, cash or money order to
purchase two-hour blocks of time.
As Hotline services are used, the
account is debited at the specified
rate per minute. To prevent fraudu-lent
use of these services, ASPIRE
will issue a PIN (Personal Identifi-cation
Number) or use a Caller ID
System (when available).
Call 800-247-1099 x266 to set
up an account.
Hotline charges begin after
initial call set-up and screening. This
prevents unnecessary charges if the
call can be handled quickly or
redirected to a different source of
information, such as the Illinois EPA
or Envirotest.
To encourage the most cost-effective
use of the Hotline, AS-PIRE
provides a Hotline Pre-Call
Checklist/Flowchart and a Hotline
Pre-Call Diagnostic Worksheet.
With this form properly filled out,
much of the information needed by
the hotline technician will be readily
available, reducing overall call time.
