Illinois Integrated Justice Information System
The Illinois Integrated Justice Information System (IIJIS) Implementation Board is an intergovernmental effort dedicated to improving the administration of justice by facilitating the electronic sharing of justice information throughout the state.
The IIJIS Implementation Board continued in its efforts to develop a plan for statewide integrated criminal justice information sharing in FY11. Work of the Implementation Board was handled by Planning & Policy, Technical, Outreach, and Funding
committees.
In FY11, the committees continued to pursue goals of the Strategic Direction for Enterprise Information Sharing 2009-2012.
The Planning & Policy Committee developed strategic, tactical, and project plans that will improve the electronic sharing of critical information throughout Illinois’ justice system. The committee is also responsible for developing policies to ensure the appropriate collection, use, and dissemination of justice information.
