Neuberger Berman is an affirmative action employer and we have affirmative action
plans in place as required by federal, state and local governments. The firm assesses our
affirmative action goals and initiatives to ensure that our objectives are aligned with our
overall corporate environment and staffing levels. Recently, we conducted statistical
analysis to determine if our selection procedures have an adverse impact upon minorities
and females, and we found no obstacles to equal employment opportunity. Examples of
our efforts and achievements over the past year are noted below.
• We seek referrals and maintain partnerships with numerous affirmative action
recruitment sources. In addition, we post job openings on diversity recruitment
websites.
• We continue to develop diversity outreach programs to offer cultural awareness
through networking events, speaker series, roundtable discussions, and
participation in the recruiting process.
• Employees are informed of our affirmative action, equal employment, anti-discrimination
and anti-harassment policies as part of our new hire process, in
training sessions, and through ongoing communication.
• We support philanthropic endeavors that support our goals through financial
support and firm-sponsored volunteer events. In 2011, over 650 employees
participated in our annual Celebration with Service event to benefit the
communities in which we work.
