              Chicago Ridge Officially Opened New Library With

Cutting Of Ribbon

Boy Scout Troop 665, led

by troop leader Ken Vari,

opened the ribbon cutting

ceremony of the Chicago

Ridge Library with the

presentation of colors.

Library Board President

Roger Meslar welcomed

those assembled and

Deacon Terry Albano, Our

Lady of the Ridge Parish,

presented the invocation.

Kathleen McSwain, li-brary

director, said the old

library building was conr-pletely

gutted and 10,222

square feet of a new build-ing

was added and 7,947

square feet of the old build-ing

was completely reno-vated.

The work was done

by Mayes Architects and

Landmark Construction

Services with Dr. Fred

Schlipf as the building

consultant.

Roger Meslar, board pres-ident,
