Yourell Resolution
Marks Church Birthday
A Resolution recently was offered to the General Assem-bly
by Representative Harry " Bus" Yourell ( D- 8th ) hon-oring
Our Lady of the Ridge Roman Catholic Church of
Chicago Ridge. Here from left is Msgr. Edward Roche;

HOUSE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Our Lady of the Ridge Roman Catholic Ch-urch
of Chicago Ridge, Illinois celebrated its 25th Ann-iversary
on January 19,1973; and
WHEREAS, This deeply human institution has served
as refuge and protection for its congregation during 25
long and troubled years in our nation's history; and
WHEREAS; Despite the problems of the world it has
served its people well as a place for 5,000 baptisms, 768
marriages, 635 deaths, 4,100 First Communions, 3,070
confirmations and 1242 graduated from grammar school;
therefore be it
RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES
OF THE SEVENTY- EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that this body congratulates
Our Lady of the Ridge Church and congregation on their
25 years of community service and worship together; that
we express our confidence in this fine church and its mem-bers;
and that we hope their participation in the life of
our State will continue for many years to come; and be it
further-
RESOLVED, that a copy of this preamble and resolution
be presented to the pastor, Monsignor Edward Roche.
