Early view of St. Joseph's Church located on East Maple or Division Street. This brick building was built in 1905 after a 1904 fire destroyed Sts. Peter and Paul Church, the original Catholic church in Libertyville, which was located on First Street. Message on the back of the post card reads: "I am sending you a card to let you know I have not forgotten any of my new found friends! This scene is across from our house, the x marks our house. The heat here is terrible. Cannot sleep nights. Sin, F. E. Durand"
