#002 The Worlds Columbian Exposition Scrapbook, p. 062 25 Vitis, Grape vines. 100 Humulus, Hops. 100 English Ivies. TREES. 50 Lombardy poplars, large trees, 12 feet in height, to be grown in large boxes (3x3) and to be placed where they can be watered this summer. The above figures are to be the size of plant when shipped. It is earnestly requested that these plants should be se- lected at once and placed in the boxes best suited to the size and growth of the plant. The box is to be made according to the diagram accompanying this circular. Be careful to choose most, perfect and healthy plants in order to have them in proper con- dition in 1893. Any questions which may arise in connection with the subject will be cheerfully answered if you will address the Board of Lady Managers of the World's Columbian Com- mission. SUSAN G.
