Career Group Closes Season With Talk by Col. Hershenson The Career group of the National Council of Jewish Women, at its final meeting of the season on Tuesday, April 27 at 7:30 p.m. at 72 E. Eleventh st., will hear Lt. Col. Harry G. Hershenson discuss "Palestine in Action." Hershenson, a prominent Chicago attorney, served as military governor in Italy during World War II, and was frequently decorated by the govern-ments of the United States and Italy. The meeting will be followed by a tea and social hour. Ruth L. Riff is president of the group. Florence Lam-pert is chairman of the program com-mittee. NOW AVAILABLE at all NEWSSTANDS Illinois Sisterhood Convention Aids 'House of Living Judaism' The 22nd Annual convention of the Illinois Federation of Temple Sister-hoods, with delegates representing some 8,000 members in Illinois, closed last week after a two day session in which plans were made for increased respon-sibility in service to religious and hu-manitarian causes. Mrs. Louis L. Rosett, national presi-dent of the Federation of Temple Sis-terhoods was the featured guest speak-er. Her subject, "Sisterhood Participa-tion in National's Projects," was, in the main, a discussion of the newly pro-jected "House of Living Judaism." The new structure, to cost $650,000, will be erected in either New York City or Cincinnati, and will become the center of activities and headquarters for the
