JEWISH CONFERENCE TO AID
RUSSIAN WAR RELIEF
ADOPTS RESOLUTION
The following is the resolution
passed by the Jewish Conference to
aid Russian War Relief which took
place on Sunday, May 10, in the Ter-race
Casino of the Morrison Hotel.
To the Jewish People of Chicago
The heroic Russian Army is beat-ing
back the common foe of the
democratic nations. With President
Roosevelt we say "a successful of-fensive
against the Germans helps
us." We can now look forward to
the final and utter destruction of
the Axis powers.
We have followed with saddened
hearts the attacks launched by the
Nazis against the Russian people.
We know the terrible price they
have paid in their glorious resis-tance
and counter-offensive. We are
determined more than ever to bring
closer the day of Allied victory.
We, therefore, call upon the Jew-ish
people in this city to help the
cause of Russian War Relief, to
support us in speeding medical sup-plies
to our courageous ally, to join
with us in this great humanitarian
undertaking by cooperation with the
Chicago Committee of Russian War
Relief.
