All organization items must, be sent in writing to The Sentinel, 511 South Sangamon Street, and must reach the editorial offices no later than Mon. day afternoon for publication in the current week's issue. THE CLUB EDITOR David M. Grodsky Junior Aid-The David M. Grodsky Junior Aid will hold its monthly Sunday afternoon dance reception on January 25, at the Chi-cago Beach Hotel, from 3 p. m. to 6 p. m. Dr. E. Kops is chairman; Miss Hazel Sheffner is social director. Jewish Big Sisters-Mrs. I. Polland and Mrs. Benjamin H. Adler are co-chairmen of the Red Cross Unit which meets all day every Friday at Jewish Big Sister Headquarters, Suite 718, 203 North Wabash. Registrations are now open for First Aid, Nutrition and Home Nursing classes. The Big Sister sewing committee under the chairman-ship of Mrs. S. J. Ostiller also meets at headquarters on the same day. Members and friends are invited to participate. The regular m o n t h ly Board meeting will be held on Wed-nesday, January 28, at 1 p. m. at the Standard Club. Mrs. Philip P. Sachs is president. Garfield Community Center - Mr. and Mrs. Harry Weinstein and Mr. and Mrs. Sig Kirschbaum will sponsor the program at the meeting of the Gar-field Community Center on Monday, January 26, at 8 p. m. at the Com-munity Hall, 509 South Springfield Avenue. South Shore Temple Sisterhood - The regular meeting of the South Shore Temple Sisterhood will be held on Wednesday, January 28, at 1:30 p. m. at the Community House, 7215 Jeffery Avenue. Conference of Jewish Women - Presidents and national defense chair-men representing one hundred con-stituent clubs of the Conference of Jewish Women's Organizations will assemble for an all day session on national defense on Monday, January 26, at 10 a. m., 116 South Michigan Avenue. Mary Hastings Bradley, world traveler and author, Mrs. John P. Welling, vice-chairman of Women's co-ordinating committee on national defense and Miss Mary T. Mark, direc-tor of consumers relation division will be introduced at the morning session by Mrs. David Wodlinger, national de-fense chairman. Mrs. Ambrose Fuller will speak at the afternoon session on the subject "Your Nutrition and Na-tional Defense" and "Proof of the Pudding" a moving picture in techni-color will also be presented. South Side Mizrachi Women's Or-ganization-- The South Side Mizrachi Women's Organization will have an earning fund luncheon and celebration of Chamisho Osor B'Shvat on Monday, February 2, at Rodfei Zedek Commu-nity Hall, 1022 East 54th Place at 12 noon. Mrs. Morris Goodman is presi-dent of the group. Willing Workers Women's Club- There will be a meeting of the Willing Workers Woman's Club on Wednes-day, January 28, at 1:30 p. m. at the Standard Club, 320 Plymouth Court. Dr. Louis Binstock will be the guest speaker. His subject will be "The Um-brella Is Mine." Jewish Community Center-The first of a series of Keno parties sponsored by the Women's Division of the Jew-ish Community Center iof Hyde Park, will be held on Sunday evening, Febru-ary 1, at 8 p. m. at the Center, 5227 South Blackstone Avenue. Forides Club-Dr. Moses Landau, rabbi from Temple Judea, will speak at the Forides Club at the Jewish Peo-ple's Institute, January 25, at 4 p. m. on the subject, "The American Jew and His Religion." The Forides club which is composed of adults between the ages of twenty-one and thirty-five, invites all to attend, and listen to this interesting talk. S CLUBS National Council of Jewish Juniors -"Fight for Life," the movie edited by Paul De Kruif which has been banned in Chicago for public showing, will be privately presented at the next regular meeting of the National Coun-cil of Jewish Juniors on Sunday, Janu-ary 25. The first aid course given under the auspices of the American Red Cross will meet every Monday evening at 7 p. m. for the next ten weeks at Coun-cil headquarters, 185 North Wabash. A. E.
