Anglo-Jewish Association to Help Form Jewish Agency London (J. C. B.)-At the monthly meeting of the Council of the Anglo- Jewish Association on Sunday,. April 29, it was decided to accept the in-vitation by the Zionist Organization to appoint two representatives of the association to sit with the representa-tives of the Zionist Organization on a joint committee for the purpose of considering what steps could be taken with a view to broadening the basis of the present Jewish Agency referred to in Article 4 of the Palestine Man-date. The motion was made by J. Prag, who proposed that the president of the association, Mr. d'Avigdor Gold-smid, and Sir Robert Waley Cohen should be nominated as the delegates of the association. The president supported the reso-lution, indicating the political signifi-cance of the matter, and expressed his conviction that all members of the Anglo-Jewish Association would agree that it was highly desirable to par-ticipate in the restoration of Pales-tine.
