Sinai Hospital Training School for )ver the Nurses took place Monday evening, e May 15, at Temple Judea community house. The class consists of two seniors, eight intermediates and eight juniors. Vocal solos were rendered by Mme. Emma Roe, and piano solos by Isaac Levine and Miss Nora Handel-man. Dr. V. L. Schrager presided and presented the diplomas to the gradu-ating class. Morris Kurtzon, president of the hospital, spoke of the character of the graduating nurses. The prin-cipal speaker of the evening was Dr. M. Lewison, president of the medical staff.' In his opening remarks, Dr. Lewison congratulated the orthodox Jewish community of Chicago upon the occasion of graduating the first .= class of nurses in its history. Dr. Lewison paid special tribute to the superintendent of nurses, Miss A. Koenig, who has so diligently and faithfully contributed to the first suc-iPANY cess of the hospital and its training school. He further stated that although this hospital and its training school are small as compared with the larger and more magnificent institutions of its kind, its ideals are high and the hos-pital has been recognized as one of the very best by the American Med-ical association and the American Col-lege of Surgeons.
