Funeral from chapel, 1403 South Crawford avenue. MRS. HERMAN CONHEIM DIES NEW YORK (J. T. A.)-Mrs. Her-man Conheim, known under the pen name of Martha Morton, playwright and novelist, died at the age of sixty at her home in New York City. She suffered a heart attack several days ago which resulted in her death. She was born in New York City October 10, 1865, and was educated in the public schools and at the nor-mal college. Among her contributions to the drama are "Helen," the "Refu-gee's Daughter," "The Merchant," won the Pulitzer Prize in 1888, and included William Faversham in a lead-ing role. A novel, "Val Sinestre," by Martha Morton has just been pub-lished and another is on the press. In August, 1897, she was married to Herman Conheim, the treasurer of the Palestine Foundation Fund. A.)-The con-cession granted to the Jewish Colon-ization Association by the Canadian Government to admit to the Dominion 5,000 refugees stranded in various European ports, withdrawn several months ago, was reinstated. This was made known after a committee, con-sisting of Lyons Cohen, S. W. Jacobs, member of Parliament; A. Levine and H. Wolofsky was received by the Canadian Deputy Minister of Immi-gration. Seventeen hundred will be admitted to complete the allotted quota of 5,000.
