Bids for the extension of main water supply pip«^ in Chicago Arer^ae, Julian Street, etc. (Delcara Heights) were opened by the mayor in the presence of the Counoil with the following results;

Commr. Kroehler moved that the bids reamln on file in the Mayors offioe, open to publio inspeotion, for at least forty-eight hours. Motion oarried. Yeae: Mayor Piper and Commrs. Arends, Kline, Kroehler, and stoner. Bays: Hone.
An offer from the Public Serrlce Company of northern Illinois to furnish electric current to the City was made and form of contract for said current was presented. Cominr. Klin^^ mored that the offer be aooepted and form of contract approred, and th«t the mayor and olerk be authorized and instructed to execute contract with said Company* Motion oarrxOd. Yeas: Mayor Piper and Tomrs. Arends,Kline and Kroehler. Hay: Commr. Stoner.
On motion of Commr. Kline the Coxmoil adjourned to September 26, 1923, at eight o'block P.M.

Commr. Arends mored that the bid of Kuehn Brothers to lay main water supply pipes In Chicago Arenue, Juliar street, etc. (Delcara Heights), for the sum of #11,053.80 be accepted and the mayor and olerk be authorised and instruaoted to execute oontract with them, and that public tion of award of oontract be made. Motion tarried. Yeas: Mayor Piper and Commrs. Arends, Kline and Kroehler. Nay3: none.
