Antioch Feb. 8th 1863 8 oclock p. m. Dear Brother Netty received yours that was written the day before that you left Danville about a week ago and has not answered it yet. She is busy writing and Mother has gone to bed so I will try and scribble a few lines let you know that we are all here yet. Your letter that you sent with Mr. Ames with the money came all right and I answered it and sent in in a box that Mrs. Pollock was sending to Cap. Pollock by express but as you left danville the same day that it started you may not have received it yet. Our school closed a week ago last Wednesday morning. Mr. Addams told the directors that if they would not turn out three or four of the boys that he would quit the school and they said they they had not time to come up to the school every week so that he had better stop. He has taught about two months and that is all that we are to have this winter. I believe that they have hired Mrs. Beacher to teach in summer they give her two Dollars a week and board her in one place.
