Congratulations to Anna Bock, Courtney Carroll, Kenneth Fishleigh, Kimberly Frederick, Erik Hahn, Patrick Heavey, Shari Himpelmann, Amber Jeschke, Joseph Konopka, Brian Lucca, Elizabeth Miller, Jennifer Moceri, Deanne Radloff, Martha Smith, Eric Stensing and Timothy Williams, and to their parents and teachers who prepared them. Pictured above are Shari Himpelmann and Patrick Heavey as they prepare to recieve their First Holy Communion at St. Mary's Church in Huntley. Coral Homemakers The Coral Unit of HEA (Homemakers Extension Assn) met at the home of Beth Ferris in Huntley on Thursday evening. May 5th. All members had an enjoyable evening, which included the monthly unit meeting and lesson, a "silent" auction, and delicious refreshments. The monthly lesson, entitled "Living Well With Less", was presented to the members by Unit President, Beverly King, dealing with doing our part to lower the needless waste and pollution of the world's scarce resources. Western civili¬ zation comprises about 5% of the world's population, but uses about 40% of the world's resources. What can we do to combat this imbalance? There will be a unit bake sale on May 20th at member, Barb Schmidt's home during the "Annual Knoll Top Sub- Division Garage Sale". The Coral Unit's monthly meetings are usually held on the first Thursday of every month. The next meeting will be held at Mavis Conrad's home on June 1st. If you would like to attend, please contact Beverly King at 815-568-8665 or Barb Schmidt at 815-923-4482. Huntley Girl Scouts Hit the Trail! Huntley Girl Scouts spent last weekend at the Kettle Moraine Ranch in Wisconsin where they earned their Horseback Rider Badge. The trip included a riding lesson, 2 trail rides, a hay ride, cookout & bonfire and a stay in an unhealed bunk house (remember the weather Saturday night?). The girls' "cookie money" was used to partially finance this ^"P Happy Mother's Huntley PTO Day, Moms. Fun Fair Schaller Benefit Mark Your Calendar... A community fund raiser will be held on Saturday, July 29, for Dan "Monkey" Schaller. Details will follow. Saturday, May IS, from 10 to 3 in the Grade School Gym, the Huntley PTO will be sponsoring a "Fun Fair". Hot dogs and pop will be available for lunch. Win "Sugar Bear" as a door prizel Come join the fun and games! Huntley High School Prom Court Candidates 'i^^^f^ys^ c-^4''.«c«s',v Appearing above are the Huntley High School Prom Court Candidates. Front row, left to right: Melanie Blank, Tracy Evans, Carrie Oltendorf, Mary Halat, and Jodi Neal. Back row: Jim Reed, Dave Miller, Tedd Ream, Rick Wagner and Charles Murphy. The Prom will be held at the Watercress in Palatine, Illinois, on Friday, May 12th.
