One cf the old¬ est ifausinesses in Huntley, it was established by William (Bill) Seiler and Lyle (Bus) R4ibash, and the n-ame B&iB was derived from their initials. As a Mobile Station when opened, the B&B was the seventh gas station in Huntley. Prior to being a servke sta¬ tion, the 'building had been the offlc» of a feed mill, and it was converted by the owtter, Mr. Lazerschult, of BarrinErton, to a sing-le bay garage and was expanded to a two bay in late 1941 and has remained the same since then. Bill and Alethea Seiler be- canre the sole owners and otv erators of the business late in 1941. It has remained a family business over the years. Long time residents can recall the sight of Bill doir!g mechanical work, Alethea keeping books and the four jxrune Seilers grow¬ ing from playpens to gas pu-nups attendants and adults. Richard became a partner in 1966 and his wife Holly assumed the duties of bookkeeper In Septem¬ ber of 1975. Today a new geiv- eration of little Seilers can be seen at the ft&B. The station haa empi'oyed many local noen over the years. As a aiomber -^ <<lie-WiHey Vocational Training Program, Bill and Dick have employed and trained high school boys interested in the gas and serv¬ ice business. The Seilers are proud to be a part of the Huntley Commun¬ ity and happy to provide the best service possible to its resi¬ dents. Bill has always said "Huntley has been good to us." As a "thank you" to friends and patrons of the B&B an anniversary celebration is plan¬ ned for Saturday, May 1-, 1976 from S:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. at the Huntley Fire Bam.
