The Washington hotels, ^hich were planning to charge $100 a day (or rooms, and a few society people bent on a vulgar display of their wealth will be the chief mourners at llr. Harding's action. Oovernor Small re.id his message which In part, announced his policy —that of home rule for all cities and towns, in controlling public utilities favoring good roads and speedy (in¬ struction, best of educational oppor¬ tunities, care for our unfortunates In our asylums, rigid and speedy en¬ forcement of the law and a change in tbe parole law so that its leniency could not be extended to habitual criminals or thosd who had broken at any time the provisions of the Invr.
