Zlon Sunday morning and at Bethel Sunday afternoon. Ben Cunningham motored to In¬ diana last week to get hta slater, Mary, who la coming home tor a visit. Mrs. Susan Mitchell, who has been alck Ihe past few weeks, la able to be out again. John Monroe and wife and Leo Babeock and wife spent Sunday wtth Mrs. Elizabeth Stanford and family, lly. Thurman Smith shipped another load of Ive stock Saturday. Some are sowing wheat since the rains have put the i^round tn shape to work. It is surprising to drive ever the country and note the scarcity of hogs. It Is hard to find a hog only what Is ready for the market and very few of those. Joe Klein Is building a machine shed. Some have commenced husking corn. John Sehle and family called on Mra. Sebern and famtly Sanday. Robert Walker and Mtss Lucille Evans were married Sunday after noon at the home ot the bride's par¬ ents, Mr. and Mrs. Max Evans, tn Xenta. The groom's parents, Mr. and Mra. Lee Walker, entertained with a family dinnei' for the happy pair Monday. They left Tuesday morning for St. Louts to view the Veiled Prophet parade. They will reside In Flora, where Mr. Walker Is concerned with the Flora Oil Com¬ pany. Their many friends extend hearty congratulations. J. R. Anderson, who has been ser¬ iously sick. Is slowly improving. Jack Caldwell and wife and Mrs. A. W. Nugent were shopping tn Flora Tueaday. Nell Walker, who Is attending achool at the Illinois College, Jack¬ sonville, came to Xenia to be present at the wedding of bis cousin, Robert Walker, Sunday afternoon . A returned rotsstonary will lecture at Zion church Monday, October 12, afternoon and evening. _We did not get the exact hour, but w'lll probably be 2 p. m. and 7:30 p. m. Owing to the rain Saturday after¬ noon the children could not get to¬ gether and practice for the promotion day program for Sunday morning and the exercise was postponed un'.ll Sunday morning, October 11.
