Vegetable SalaC—Cnt into small pieces flve stalks of celery, one small botUe of sweet pickles, two green peppers, oae medlum-sixed onion, one- third of a cnpful of capera, »wo large lettnce hearts, one cnpful of cooked gieen beans, four amall cooked beets and one small can of anchovies; mix with one tablespoonful of vinegar, two tablespoonfuls of olive oU and on* small bottle of stuffed oUvaa, slicnd. Serve on lettnce. ¦hamreolc Salad.—Cnt green peppers eroaswlae, choosing those which will give the trefoil form, when sliced. Fill the halves after removing seeds and veins with s nicely seasoned cream cheesy pressing the fllUng in firmly. OhiU, tben cut Into slices and serve with a strip of green pepper as stem. Orange Salad.—Remove the peeling from oranges aod as mnch of tbe wblfe skin as possible, then cut Into very thin slices, arranging them in overlap¬ ping slices on Individual plates on le^ tnce. Serve with a nicely seasoned Preach dressing. Prune aalad.—Arrange three or fonr stewed prunes, which hsve been drained and tbe stones removed. In peats ot lettnce; sprinkle with chopped nuts snd serve witb sny desired dressing. The prunes may be atolfed with nnts, cheese or a bit of tender celery. \ TUs aalad is espeeiaUy nice wltb deck. •owthem Onion and Apple Salad.,— Take a mild large onion, cnt It into very thin slices, then into dice; mix with flnely diced, good-flavored apple; add a good salad dressing snd serve on lettuce. In any such aalad the vege¬ tablea abouid be cut fine, to be well- seasoned with tbe dreeeing. Large chunks of apple, or of any fmlt or vegetable, are never well marinated, neither do tbey look appetising.
