He says a switch is to be set in at Sassatras Mound, and another Bt White Pine in Songer Tp., and that so far no orders have been recelTed to put tn a switch west of the Tillage of Oskaloosa, tbe natural location. It would seem, tor a shipping station. Judge Reaugh, sitting on the bench and in due form, couTened the Janu¬ ary law term of county oourt at the court house I nLopisTllle last Mon¬ day, set the cases for trial, ordered tbe sheriff to summon a Jury ot twelVe men, and recessed the term to Monday, Jan. 18. The Poultry Project Committee meeting ot the Clay County Farm Bureau, held at the office of the Bureau at tbe Court House in tbls city last Thursday, was well attend¬ ed, and much Interest was manifested. District Superintendent Rev. T. O. Wilson, of Oiney, will hold his sec ond quarterly meeting of the church year with the Methodist churcb in this city, nezt Monday afternoon and evening. Bob and Henry Levitt from the country east of Sailor Springs, and Hi Cammon of Hoosier Tp., had bus¬ iness at the county seat last Monday. A little blaze in tbe roof of Bert Logan's residence on Chestnut street called out tbe "flre department" and created some excitement Monday af- iternoon. Esquire Jim Simpson ot Stantord Tp., wbo missed marrying Evaleen Coble, tbe daugbter of bis neighbor Jim Coble, to "a gentleman from Arkansaw" last Sunday by being away trom home, was at the county seat Monday, Just as though noth¬ ing had happened. James Beard, of Walnut Hill, Ark., arrived in the county last Monday for a visit with his brother, Jack, and family, and his daughter. Mn.
