Charlie Creek, who has-been poor¬ ly for tbe past week, is not mucb uetter. Warren Smith and wife, ot Flora, spent Sunday with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Smith. Threshing is the order of the day. : Mr. and Mrs. Sullivan Winchester and daugbtet'. Vera, called on Grand- Pa Brlssenden and daugbter, Mlss Ada, of Clay City, on Monday even¬ ing. Mr. and Mrs. H. W .Shriner and daughter. Hiss Mabel, and Silas Shriner and wife took dinner with Mr. and Mrs. Sullivan Winchester and family. The services at New Bethlehem Friday night were well attended. An Interesting talk was delivered by J, F. Haxwell of Flora, which was en. joyed by all. Bro. ZInk will be with us again Friday night. . Aug, 2$. Cotterell re¬ ceived news of the arrival of a little girl named Elisabeth Ellen, at the hotne of tbelr daughter, Mrs. Brelt¬ welser, of Hlllsboro, Aug. 9. Mrs. Grover McKnelly and daugh¬ ter, Rosalie, and sister.- Miss Bonnie Webster, are visiting Dr. L. Webster, at Bftlngbam, and Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Sparks, at Elgin thts week. Mr. and Mra. Irvln Kepley, of Ur. bana, attended the tuneral of her grandfather, Mr. Barlowi Saturday. A party ot picnickers spent Sun- day at Gaston Bridge. Our ball team went to Sallor Springs Sunday and lost the game 14 to 1.- and the Hord team came here and played our second team and were de¬ feated 15 to 11. Frank Falley and wife, of Flora, speiit Sunday here. Several from here attended the re¬ vival meeting at Shouse Chapel Sun¬ day night.
