Wilmette Evangelical Association Subscription List, 1872

              [p.1] We the undersigned agree to pay the sums set to our names respectively for the erection of a church edifice in the village of Wilmette according to the following conditions, to wit: [Section numbered] 1  These subscriptions shall be due and payable provided the entire amount secured on subscription shall be at least four [in pencil] thousand dollars [Section numbered] 2  They shall be payable as follows, namely: one third [1/3] when the work is commenced, one third [1/3] when the building is roofed and enclosed and one third when it is completed ready for occupancy.  [Section numbered] 3 The location of the church shall be fixed by the concurring vote of so many of these subscribers as shall represen at least two thirds [2/3] of the whole amount subscribed.  [Section numbered] 4 The church shall for the present be held in trust by the Executive Committee of the Wilmette Evangelical Association namely John Stevenson, Alexander McDaniel, John D. Brown, Samuel M. Dingee and Thomas B. Morris and their successors in office and shall be used and occupied under their direction.
