Description	This photograph pictures a Western Electric Company model 250W hand cranked telephone that was patented on April 30, 1907. It was once in the Earl Nice farm house near Cooksville. When the Earl Nice family moved from the farm house sometime in the 1950's, they gave the phone to their son and daughter-in-law. Winnie Nice has had the phone on her kitchen wall ever since (at least up to 2007). The phone was still in use until the early 1940's. There were 4 families on the party line. When the telephone rang, everyone answered and everyone knew everyone's business. The Western Electric Company was the manufacturing arm of AT&T from 1881 to 1995. The hand crank on the right side of the telephone is not visible in this photograph. Included with this photograph is an oral description which lasts approximately 1 minute 15 seconds.
