approCLches in Washington Street. You will notice that the ordinaace provides only for the paving of the roadway of the subway together with the south approach. This is my understanding ^th the council, and ih view of the fact that this is to be a State aid road, we should not be called upon to bear the full coet -f the paving as provided for in the draft you sent in.
Will you please have the oopy bearing the approval of Mr. Barge, our Attorney duly certified after its passage by the Oounoil and return to me? It is ny agreement with the Council that we waive all damages to our property abutting Washington Street and the proposed extension of Mill Street and you can retain this letter in your file as our agreement In this respect.
I would be glad to have you advise the Oouncil that I have
now in preparation lease to the city of a ptrip of our right-oF-
way for street purposes extending east of the depot on south
side as they requested.
