Son Safe Jap Radio Tells Local Coaple
ENSIGN NORBERT ESSIG. son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Essig. 110 North 15th avenue, Melrose Park, and assigned to the U. S. S. North Carolina, mighty battleship, looks over the MAYWOOD HERALD with a very noticeable gleam of appreciation, for he has found his name listed among the township's finest fighting men. Ensign Essig, who graduated from Proviso High and Loyola University, where he starred in track, is a recent graduate of the Navy's Abbott Hall in Chicago. He has a brother. Vincent, who is also in the navy, being a petty officer stationed ai Norfolk.
