FOOTBALL-Once again is in the news as villagers follow the husky Proviso high school squad in their quest for the Suburban League championship. Al Maczulaitis, first string center shows how the Pirates will tackle Moline Friday night when the Maroons come to Maywood. Last Friday the varsity showed a complete reversal of form from the previous week when they crushed LaGrange 11-0. Coach Andy Puplis is depending on the weighty Mitch, as teammates call him, to put spark into the pigskin toters.
