INSURING DEMOCRACY—Donald Busch, high school student, is shown working on a high speed vertical mill machine in the shop of Proviso township school where young men are familiarized with technical nomenclature and mechanical processes. A four-hour course at the school, vocational machine training emphasizes accuracy in production, a thorough respect for good shop and safety practices and dexterity in handling tools and machines, John Adams, instructor, believes the shop is the most modern in high schools, new equipment still being received. Here youth is given rapid training for jobs in industries engaged in war production,
