EDUCATION FOR A STRONG AMERICA
STORY ON PAGE 3
BOOK WEEK—Miss Pat Hutton of Westchester enters into the spirit of Book Week as it is observed in the villages. Miss Hutton, a student, is typical of young people eager to strengthen our democracy through this educational and recreational field. A book review by Mrs. George E. Staunton and tea will be presented at Maywood Library at 2:30 o'clock today by Vernell C. Dammeier, librarian. Following Book Week, schools in the community will observe
National Education Week. Opening ceremonies will take place here Saturday between halves of the Proviso-Oak Park football game.
