RESERVE MILITIA recruitment will be started Saturday and Sunday evenings by Company C. 2nd Regiment. Illinois Reserve Militia at the Forest and Melrose theatres when members of the company will tell about their unit and exhibit their equipment. Colonel Lawrence J. Davidson commands the regiment. In the picture, from the left, are 2nd Lt. Earl Ellis 2101 South 18th avenue Broadview; 1st Lt. Eric Lindberg of Oak Park; (extreme right) Capt. Edward S. Brzeinski of Chicago: (in jeep) Pvt Ralph Seeck. 839 South 20th avenue. Pvt. Robert Haenle. 429 South 15th avenue, and Pfc. John Priebe III. 6O9 1/2 Lake street, all of Maywood; Sgt. Harold Hendrichsen. 1036 Troost avenue. Forest Park and (seated) Sgt. Charles Orrico. 121 North 21st avenue, Melrose Park. Enlistment in the militia Is for two years aqe limtts being between 15 and 55 years. Minor physical defects are overlooked. Reserve militia members are given an opportunity to become expert marksmen, a chance for promotion to commissioned officer and additional advantages offered men of specialized qualifications.
