CARVING PUMPKINS around Halloween time is a favorite pastime at the Central Baptist Children's Home, 504 South First avenue, Maywood, just as it is in every child's home. Shown taking turns using their artistic talents on the pumpkin which will shine in a window of the Home are, from the left, Carolyn, Charles and Donna Lou. Halloween, again this year, promises special thrills to the youngsters of Maywood at the annual party to be sponsored at 7:30 Wednesday evening at the American Legion hall by the Maywood Recreation Board, the Lions club and the American Legion Post No. 133. Twenty-two cash prizes will be awarded for outstanding costumes, and every child present will receive a gift. All boys and girls of Maywood are invited to attend.
