THE COMMUNITY AND WAR FUND drive opens In Maywood today (Thursday).   Pictured above counting  and sorting some of the 85,000 pieces of literature and material for the third annual drive in the village are from the left:   Donny Eriksen. Mrs. Walter Eriksen, Bobby Hurdle, Mrs. George Collord and Nels G. Lundgren. chairman of the campaign committee.   Everything is in readiness for the drive.  Five hundred workers will begin calling at local homes tonight.  The gift contributed now represents an entire year's donation to the U.S.O., United Nations Relief and six local organizations. Maywood Welfare, Girl Scout, Boy Scouts,  Community  Christian  Council,   Y.M.C.A..   and  the  Maywood Planning Council.  Since this is the last campaign of the National War Fund and a large portion of the $115.000.000 raised in the United States goes for work with services personnel, local residents are urged to give generously in this last patriotic service.
