The Song of Home
The song of home Is made of priceless love
Harmonized to ringing notes of peace, That sing of beauty, truth, and God above;
For him who hears the chords, all sorrows cease. In high, clear trills home sings a song of joy.
While soothing tones hold from the passing years Sweet memories of a laughing little boy,
Of parents' love, and maybe happy tears.
The world at war hears not this melody;
Its people learn to fight, and kill, and hate, Forgetting home's bright tune. Men do not see
That earth must hear home's song before too late. Oh, bless the home and let its message ring; Then some day God, the whole wide world will sing.
By Mary Petroplus.
