May 22 is Poppy Day, when the small red blossoms will be sold by volunteer workers. Every penny from the sale is contributed to the welfare and rehabilitation work of the American Legion, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and their auxiliaries for veterans of World Wars I and II. The Memorial Flower of the first war has also become the Memorial Flower of the second. Buy a poppy Monday!
