TINY TENANTS of the Chiidren's Receiving Home, 809 Madison street, Maywood, pictured above, from left to right are Bob, Selma, Carol, Helen, Tonnmy, Raymond, Jimmy and Leonard. At 3 p.m. Sunday, September 16, the twenty-sixth anniversaary of its founding will be observed at the home. Everyone is welcome to attend. The home, founded by The Lutheran Woman's League of Chicago and vicinity on September 17, 1919, accepts Lutheran children between the ages of 2 and 12. Miss Mina Lichtner is superintendent. The three-story building provides a homelike atmosphere for the 57 children who make their home there. Seasonal flowers in dainty vases decorate the tables in the dining room, well-stocked libraries containing neatly catalogued books and musical instruments provide entertainment for the older children while playrooms containing all the toys dearest to the hearts of little folks amuse the tots. A service flag in the large reception room bears 34 blue stars and one gold one. Indicative of the excellent care and affection received by the children are the many letters received by Miss Lichtner and her staff from alumni of the school. (Story on page 3)
