Wanzer Impresses Huntley Students
By Barb Schmidt
On Thursday, December 1st, Kevin Wanzer came to speak to the students of Huntley schools.
Kevin Wanzer speaks to students about decision¬ making, drugs and simple drug information, prevention skills and self-esteem. With the help of laughter, Kevin has developed a unique presentation to which students can relate.
For more than 10 years, Kevin has performed for over
a million young people, teachers and parents throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, and China. The White House, along with a variety of national drug-free and educational organizations, have recognized him for his public service. Kevin has worked with the NBA, NFL, and Major League baseball in their drug-free efforts. He also has had several appearances on national T.V. and radio shows.
Kevin Wanzer, through his unique presentations at the assemblies on Dec. 1st, left a
lasting impression on the students, teachers and parents who saw him. This was his second time visiting Huntley. Several years back he made his first trip here to Huntley, and those who saw him back then were just as impressed with his performance.
We want to thank the HunUey P.T.A. and Operation Snowflake/Snowball committee for bringing Kevin back for another enlightening visit.
Many thanks to Kevin Wanzer for coming to HunUey!
