The children were excited by the chance to experience feeding and petting pigs. Several students were put on the scale to show how many students it would take to equal the weight of a market* hog. They also were given a hay ride to see steers out in the pasture. Tracy Frihart and his family are delighted with all the help and support they have received from the entire town of Huntley. Tracy is reported to be doing well and getting stronger each day. Family and friends have been happy to have him home these past weeks. He will return to the Rehabilitation Institute Center of Chicago soon for more intense therapy. The family would like to take this opportunity to extend their thank you to First Congregational Church, Trinity Lutheran Church, St. Mary's Catholic Church, Huntley High School, Huntley Park District, the "Friends of Tracy", Boy Scout Troop #167, Weebelos, Jaycees, Lions, Lionesses, individuals and companies who donated cash or items to the auction, members of Snowball, FFA, choir and band. Grandma's Kitchen, Bowl-Hi and the Chamber of Commerce, for all their hard work in putting together the fundraisers for Tracy's Trust Fund. Also, thanks to all who came to the spaghetti dinner, auction bake sale, bowling night, or bought apples, as well as those who worked so i hard putting together these events. Thank you to all the individuals who donated cash to the Trust Fund, Knott's Pineapple Acres, The Country Store, the Chancel Choir of the First Congregational Church and to all of the great cooks for the meals delivered to our home. A special thank . you is expressed to their "Super Santa." If anyone in this long list has been missed, please accept their apologies. Everything everyone has done is greatly appreciated. Your prayers have helped -- Thank You. Huntley Hosts Regional V-ball Tourney Huntley High School will host the 1993 Illinois High School Association (IHSA) Girls' Regional Volleyball Tournament. The six teams competing for the regional title in elimination playoffs are Huntley, Wauconda, Hampshire, St. Edward, Fox Valley Lutheran and Burlington Central. Play began on Tuesday, Oct. 26, with Hampshire beating Wauconda in Match #1 and St. Edward of Elgin winning over Fox Valley Lutheran. On Thursday night, Oct. 28, the playoffs continue at 6:30pm with Huntley agianst Hampshire followed by Burlington Central against St. Edward. The title winner will be determined when the winners of the Thursday night matches play the deciding match on Saturday, Oct. 30, at 7pm. The Regional champion goes on to compete in the Sectional Tournament, hosted by Marian Central. HFPD Board Holds Regular, 4 Special Meetings The regular meeting of the Huntley Fire Protection District was held on September 16, 1993. Roll call showed the following present: Trustees Joe Gow, Larry Graf, Jeff Homuth, Maynard Williams, Al Allen, Chief Dave Veath and Attorney Mike Kukla. A motion to approve the minutes of Aug. 19, 1993, with correction, was made by Trustee Homuth, seconded by Trustee Allen. Roll call showed all ayes. A motion to approve the minutes of the special meeting of Aug. 26, 1993, was made by Trustee Homuth, seconded by Trustee Williams. Roll call showed all ayes. A motion to approve the minutes of the special meeting of Sept. 2, 1993, was made by Trustee Williams, seconded by Trustee Allen.
